Here are the little details about the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle.
This Bajaj CNG motorcycle has a bold design that sets it apart from other commuters. The unique proportions and striking colors (including black, white, and blue - 7 total options) ensure you'll turn heads. The modern front end complements the unconventional sides, while the rear features a raised and clean look. The unique design is courtesy the requirement of packaging both the petrol fuel tank and the CNG tank.
You get to choose between 3 variants. Negative LCD instrument console on the higher variants and a smaller LCD instrument cluster on the base variant. Only the top variant gets connected features.
On the left side of the handle bar is a switchgear that features a petrol and CNG switch, allowing you to seamlessly switch between fuels on the fly. A dedicated Bluetooth connectivity button is located below the fuel switch only available on the top-end variant.
The 2 kg CNG tank is cleverly concealed under the seat. It has the filler cap positioned on top of the 2-litre petrol tank. The trellis frame provides additional protection for the CNG tank, keeping it out of sight.
The Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG has the longest seat in the 125cc commuter segment. This should offer ample space for two riders and their luggage. While it can technically seat four, this is not recommended for legal and safety reasons.
This Bajaj CNG Motorcycle packs a punch with its 125 cc engine that delivers 9.5 bhp and 9.7 Nm. A 5-speed gearbox is mated to the engine. This engine has fuel efficiency of 65 kmpl on petrol and 115 km per kg of CNG makes it an economical choice. With an approximate range of 330 km this should be perfect for city commutes or rural travel.
The trellis frame effectively distributes stress and safeguards the CNG tank. The mono link suspension provides a smoother ride with increased travel despite its compact design, making it more robust than conventional suspension systems.
The scooter rolls on attractive 2-prong 5-spoke alloy wheels. The top variant gets disc brake in the front, while the base and mid variants come equipped with drum brakes.
The starting price is ₹95,000 (ex-showroom), with the top variant reaching ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The rollout will be staggered across India, with Maharashtra and Gujarat receiving it first.
