The company said the decision has been driven by continued pressure from foreign exchange movements and higher input costs.

BMW Motorrad India has announced that it will increase the prices of its motorcycles in the country by up to 6 per cent from 1 January 2026. The revision will apply across the brand's entire range on sale in the Indian market.

In an official statement, the company said the decision has been driven by continued pressure from foreign exchange movements and higher input costs. The Indian Rupee's sharp depreciation against the US dollar and Euro over the past several months has impacted raw material and logistics costs, according to BMW Group India.

The company added that the price hike is aimed at ensuring profitability and sustained value generation for BMW Motorrad India and its dealer partners.

BMW Motorrad's India portfolio currently includes both locally produced and fully imported models. The 'Made in India' models include the BMW G 310 RR and the BMW CE 02, whilst the larger and more premium motorcycles are brought in as completely built units.

The CBU line-up consists of adventure, roadster, touring, performance, and cruiser models such as the BMW F 900 GS, F 900 GSA, R 1300 GS, R 1300 GSA, M 1000 RR, M 1000 R, S 1000 RR, and S 1000 R.

The cruiser and tourer range includes the BMW R 18 Transcontinental, R 12, R 12 nineT, R 1250 RT, and the K 1600 series, comprising the K 1600 B, K 1600 GTL, and K 1600 GA. The portfolio is rounded off by premium scooters like the BMW C 400 GT and electric models such as the BMW CE 04.

BMW India has also announced that the Financial Services will continue to support customers with tailored finance options despite the upcoming price increase. The brand says buyers can opt for customised financial plans that offer attractive monthly instalments, reduced interest rates on select models, and flexible end-of-term choices.

Meanwhile, multiple other brands, including JSW MG Motor India and Mercedes-Benz, have also announced price hikes for their models sold in the Indian market. These upward revisions in prices are to offset rising input costs.
