The 1,000th BMW S 1000 RR was delivered in Delhi.

BMW Motorrad has successfully retailed 1,000 units of the S 1000 RR in India. It was the first litre-class superbike to launch in the country in 2009. The latest 2025 iteration was launched earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo building, priced at ₹21.10 lakh. While the bike did not boast any radical changes, it did feature BMW’s learning from the World SBK series in the form of large, revised aero winglets that could generate up to 17.1 kg to 23.1 kg of downforce.

In addition to aero winglets, the BMW S 1000 RR now features brake cooling ducts and a redesigned lower triple clamp that will improve stability at higher speeds. Other key upgrades include a taller windscreen and the M-stroke short throttle, which further enhance its track-ready focus.

The 2025 BMW S 1000 RR was launched in the country at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

At the centre lies the monstrous 999 cc, inline-four engine with BMW’s Shiftcam technology that produces a humongous 206 bhp at 13,750 rpm and 113 Nm at 14,600 rpm. Three ride modes are available as standard – Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race. You also get three Pro Ride modes incorporating Hill-Start Control Pro as standard.

The 1,000th BMW S 1000 RR was sold in Delhi, and it was handed over at an exclusive ceremony, which was attended by Shardanduu Chaturvedi, Director of BMW Motorrad India and Manish Gupta, Dealer Principal, Lutyens Motorrad. Other members from the BMW Motorrad community had also joined the event.
