The new variants of the Nexon EV were introduced in September 2024.
The Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP), the indigenous vehicle safety watchdog, has announced that the crash test ratings for the Tata Nexon EV now apply to the newly introduced variants too.
The new variants of the Tata Nexon EV include the Creative 45, Fearless 45, Empowered 45, Empowered 45 Dark, Empowered+ 45 Dark, and Empowered+ 45 Red Dark. The ratings apply to the existing medium range variants of the Nexon EV. The new variants were introduced in September 2024.
The Nexon EV scored five stars in the BNCAP crash test for both adult and child safety tests. It secured 29.86 points out of 32 in adult safety and 44.95 points out of 49 in child safety. While BNCAP tested the Empowered Long Range variant of the Nexon EV, that variant is now discontinued.
It comes equipped with a wide variety of safety features across all variants, like six airbags, ABS and ESC, three-point seat belts for all seats, and ISOFIX mounts. The Nexon.ev is priced from ₹12.49 - 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
