MG will launch the Cyberster EV in India on June 25.
Actor Ishaan Khatter, fresh off the success of his Netflix series The Royals, was recently seen turning heads on the streets of Mumbai in MG Motor’s upcoming EV, the Cyberster. The electric convertible sports car, which is expected to officially launch in India on June 25, is MG’s entry into the luxury electric sports car segment.
The MG Cyberster is expected to be priced between ₹70 lakh to ₹80 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be sold via MG Select, the brand’s premium dealership vertical. Positioned as a modern electric roadster, the Cyberster doesn’t currently have a direct competitor but will face comparisons with cars like the BMW Z4 in terms of pricing.
Under the hood—or rather, under the floor—the Cyberster packs a serious punch. It comes equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor setup delivering a whopping 503 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. MG claims a 0-100 kmph time of just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of around 200 kmph, making it the fastest and most powerful MG ever offered in India. The car also offers a certified range of over 440 km on a single charge.
Inside, the Cyberster takes a tech-heavy approach typical of MG’s current lineup but elevated to suit its premium positioning. The cabin features four screens—three placed behind the steering wheel forming a curved digital cluster (10.25-inch centre screen and two 7-inch flanking displays), and one screen dedicated to controlling the air conditioning system. Additionally, an 8-speaker BOSE audio system, a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability are part of the package, offering both performance and practicality.
