BSNL's new services aim to boost rural connectivity and emergency communications.
State-owned telecom provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revealed a new logo identity and launched seven digital services as it prepares to roll out commercial 4G services across India.
The new logo, featuring green and white arrows surrounding India's map against an orange backdrop, was unveiled by Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia at BSNL headquarters in New Delhi. BSNL says the design represents the company's commitment to nationwide connectivity and digital inclusion.
Among the new services announced are an automated spam protection system, national Wi-Fi roaming for FTTH customers, and a fibre-based intranet TV service offering more than 500 channels. The company is also introducing 24/7 automated SIM card kiosks and a Direct-to-Device connectivity solution that combines satellite and terrestrial networks. Additionally, BSNL has developed an encrypted communications platform for emergency services and a private 5G network for mining operations in partnership with C-DAC.
BSNL's new services aim to boost rural connectivity and emergency communications with features like balloon and drone-based systems for disaster-struck areas.
