Kia India has reached its strongest sales month since entering the market, selling 29,556 units in October 2025. This marks a 30 per cent increase compared to 22,735 units sold in October 2024, establishing a record for the manufacturer. The achievement reflects the company's performance across its range of vehicles and its growing presence in India's automotive sector.
The Sonet compact SUV led sales with 12,745 units, marking its highest monthly performance to date. The recently launched Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV contributed a combined 8,779 units to the total. The Seltos SUV recorded 7,130 units, continuing to demonstrate steady demand from customers.

Kia India's year-to-date performance shows a 10 per cent increase from the start of 2025. The company sold 236,138 units through October 2025, compared to 215,443 units during the same period in 2024. The growth reflects consumer preference for the company's product lineup and the impact of recent Goods and Services Tax reforms that improved vehicle affordability.

The past four months have shown varied performance across the company's sales cycle. In July 2025, Kia India sold 22,135 units, representing an 8 per cent year-on-year increase from July 2024. August 2025 experienced a decline with 19,608 units sold, a 13 per cent decrease from August 2024's 22,523 units. September 2025 showed recovery with 22,700 units sold, a 15.8 per cent increase from the previous month. The October performance builds on this recovery with the record-breaking 30 per cent year-on-year growth.

The festive season contributed significantly to the October results. The combination of GST reforms that reduced vehicle costs and increased consumer purchasing during the festive period supported the sales milestone. Kia India attributes the success to customer trust and the company's range of vehicles across segments.
Kia's electric vehicle strategy has expanded with the introduction of the Carens Clavis EV, the company's first made-in-India seven-seater mass-premium electric vehicle. The Carens Clavis EV launched in July 2025 with pricing starting at Rs 17.99 lakh and expanded to six variants by October 2025 with the introduction of new HTX E and HTX E (ER) models priced at Rs 19.99 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh respectively.
The electric MPV comes with two battery options: a 42 kilowatt-hour unit offering 404 kilometres of range and a 51.4 kilowatt-hour unit providing 490 kilometres of range. Both options support fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 39 minutes. The vehicle features Level 2 driver assistance systems, six airbags, and a three-row seating configuration.

EV sales contributed to the company's overall growth trajectory in recent months. August 2025 recorded Kia India's best-ever electric vehicle sales of 441 units, driven primarily by the Carens Clavis EV introduction. The performance reflects growing customer interest in electric mobility options at the mass-market level. The Carens Clavis EV contributed to combined Carens family sales of 21,762 units in the third quarter of 2025, a 22.42 per cent increase year-on-year, accounting for 33.77 per cent of total company sales.
The expansion of Kia's electric vehicle range has created demand for affordable seven-seater electric options. The Carens Clavis EV addresses a segment previously underserved at this price point and represents the company's commitment to sustainable mobility solutions in India. The vehicle's performance in monthly sales figures demonstrates market acceptance of the model as an alternative to internal combustion engine versions of the Carens Clavis.
Kia India maintains operations at its Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh with an installed production capacity of 300,000 units annually. The company distributes vehicles through 744 touchpoints across 329 cities. Approximately 4.7 lakh connected vehicles from Kia are currently on Indian roads, positioning the company among leaders in the connected car segment. The manufacturer has dispatched approximately 1.5 million vehicles from its facility since production began in August 2019, including over 1.2 million domestic sales and over 367,000 exports.
