CES 2024: Acer Launches Aspire Vero 16 Carbon-Neutral Laptop

Acer has announced additions to its popular Aspire laptop lineup with the new Aspire Vero 16, part of Acer's eco-conscious Vero series. Packed with up to Intel Core Ultra processors and Intel AI Boost for speed, the Aspire Vero 16 is Acer's first carbon-neutral laptop. It has achieved this milestone by minimizing its carbon footprint and applying carbon credits to offset any remaining emissions.

The Aspire Vero 16 touts a tactile grey chassis made from 60% post-consumer recycled plastics. It also uses an ocean-bound plastic touchpad and ships in 100% recycled packaging. Performance-wise, the laptop delivers on tasks with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and dual PCIe SSD storage options, while its 1440p display, AI webcam features, and WiFi 7 connectivity keep users connected.

On the more accessible end, the new Aspire Go 15 and 14 laptops pack essentials like Intel Core i3 processors, ample memory and storage, and the latest Acer technologies such as Acer PurifiedVoice and integrated Copilot for AI assistance. Both models tout slim bezels for an engaging visual experience and durable yet eco-minded builds.

Acer's expanded Aspire lineup aims to offer versatile devices for everyday productivity and entertainment in eco-conscious packages. Pricing is $249 for the Aspire Go series and $749 for the flagship Aspire Vero 16.
