HP has introduced its most capable gaming laptop to date, the Omen Max 16, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. The company positions this new device at the forefront of mobile gaming technology, with either Intel's Core Ultra 9 processor or AMD's Ryzen AI 9 chip, paired with Nvidia's latest GeForce RTX 50 series laptop GPU based on the Blackwell architecture.
The system supports up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, highlighting HP's commitment to high-performance gaming.
The laptop introduces HP's innovative Omen Cryo Compound cooling solution, which combines liquid metal and metal grease, working in conjunction with the Omen Tempest Cooling Pro architecture and Fan Cleaner technology. Also, the device offers customisation options including a front RGB light bar and an optional HyperX-inspired per-key RGB keyboard, available in Ceramic White or Shadow Black finishes.
The Omen Max 16 will be available starting at $1,699, with the Omen 32x Smart Gaming Monitor priced at $749.99 and scheduled for April release. The HyperX Pulsefire Saga Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse and standard variant will launch in March, priced at $119.99 and $79.99 respectively.
Accompanying the laptop launch, HP announced the Omen 32x Smart Gaming Monitor, featuring a 4K display with 144Hz refresh rate. This monitor distinguishes itself with built-in Google TV capabilities and supports multiple device connections, including consoles, computers, and Android smartphones. Notable is its ability to stream directly from four platforms without additional hardware.
The company expanded its gaming ecosystem with the HyperX Pulsefire Saga mice series, offering both wireless and standard variants with innovative customisation options. Users can create up to 16 different combinations using included parts, with additional customisation possible through 3D printing files available online.
HP also introduced Omen AI Beta, an artificial intelligence-driven software solution that optimises gaming performance through automated system adjustments. Initially supporting Counter-Strike 2, the company plans to expand compatibility to other popular titles.
