Bridgestone India announced the winners of its 5th Mobility Social Impact Awards (MSIA) on October 15, 2025, in Pune, with Delhi’s Impact Guru Foundation (IGF) clinching the 1st Runner-up position in the Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities category. Launched to honour not-for-profit organisations leveraging mobility for social good, MSIA awarded a total prize purse of Rs 40 lakh shared among winners across two categories: Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities and Road Safety Innovation and Excellence.
Founded in 2015, IGF’s flagship programmes—Empower Her, Rise Up and Mission I-M-Possible—focus on healthcare, education, skilling and environmental sustainability. To date, these initiatives have impacted over 81 lakh beneficiaries and disbursed more than ₹268 crore in aid to underserved communities nationwide. The MSIA jury commended IGF’s scalable approach and measurable outcomes, citing widespread improvements in women’s empowerment and community resilience.
The award for top honours in Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities went to Bengaluru’s Association of People with Disability (APD) for its Rehab on Wheels initiative, offering last-mile rehabilitation in rural regions. Jharkhand Vikas Parishad received a Jury Commendation for community-led livelihood programmes spanning 160 villages. In the Road Safety Innovation and Excellence category, Chennai’s ALERT programme was named winner for training over 4.5 lakh citizens in emergency response skills, while Bhubaneshwar’s SAFE India secured Runner-up for its #ZoneZero Safe School Zone and driver training initiatives benefiting over 40,000 students and 2 lakh drivers.
The awards ceremony, presided over by Dr. Girish Kulkarni of Snehalaya, underscored Bridgestone India’s E8 commitment—Empowerment, Ease, Emotion and Efficiency—reinforcing its mission of “Serving Society with Superior Quality.” This year’s MSIA demonstrated the growing impact of mobility-centric social innovations across India’s diverse communities.
