It’s the sportiest avatar of the Multistrada and as expected the most expensive!
Ducati extended its Multistrada V4 family by riding in the new Multistrada V4 RS. The latest iteration is a more road-focused and the sportiest version of the Multistrada V4 yet. The headline act is the inclusion of the 1,013 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine from the Ducati Panigale superbike. This helps the Multistrada V4 RS churn out 180 bhp and 119 Nm of torque. In comparison the Granturismo V4 motor produces 170 bhp and 125 Nm. As you guys can see the focus is on performance and outright acceleration hence the power output has been increased, while torque has reduced. The Multistrada V4 RS also gets the iconic Ducati dry clutch and features a bi-directional quickshifter.
The performance upgrade continues to the underpinnings as well. The RS variant gets a modified aluminium frame with a lighter titanium subframe. The rake angle and wheelbase is tighter to accommodate the 17-inch wheel and to enhance its handling prowess. The frame rests on electronically adjustable Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 USD fork and fully adjustable Ohlins TTX36 monoshock. The bike rides on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres which are wrapped around lightweight forged Marchesini wheels. Braking hardware is also top-notch as stopping power is courtesy Brembo Stylema.
The styling of the Multistrada V4 RS is also different with a very unique livery and even the bodywork is similar to that of the Pikes Peak variant. It gets carbon fibre beak, mudguards, hand guards and heat shields to keep the weight under check. While Ducati hasn’t shared its kerb weight, we expect it to be under 238 kg. It gets a plethora of electronic aids as seen on any other Ducati offering such as multi-level ride modes, traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, adaptive cruise control, navigation and more.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS is the most expensive variant of its ADV offering and is likely to go on sale in our country next year. We expect it to carry a sticker price of close to Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom) making it among the most expensive and exclusive ADV bikes to go on sale in India.
