The 2023 Ducati Scrambler has received a bunch of cosmetic and feature updates.
Ducati has started accepting booking for the next generation Scrambler range of motorcycles. The Scrambler is among the most popular models in the Italian brands portfolio and was missing from our market when the new Ducati Scrambler was unveiled late last year. The 2023 Ducati Scrambler range will be launched in India in the first half of September. The new update is the first major change the bike has received ever since it made its global debut almost eight years ago.
The 2023 Ducati Scrambler range is offered in three flavours - Icon, Full Throttle and Nightshift. The Scrambler Icon stays true to the original bike but gets minor design tweaks to make it look contemporary. The bike features a redesigned fuel tank, alloy wheels, headlight housing and exhaust muffler. The Scrambler Full Throttle is inspired from American flat-track bikes and looks the sportiest of the trio. The Ducati Scrambler Night Shift pays homage to cafe racers and has a very pleasing design with lowered handlebar, spoke wheels and ribbed seats.
All three motorcycles are powered by the same oil-cooled, L-twin, 803cc engine pushing out 72 bhp and 65 Nm of torque. The power figures aren’t too different from the older bike, but the new machine is lighter courtesy of a new exhaust system and lighter engine parts. It gets a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. Additionally the new frame helps the bike shave off an extra 4 kg.
Another major highlight is the new 4.3-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity a far cry from the LCD unit seen on its predecessor. The 2023 Ducati Scrambler gets two riding modes, traction control and cornering ABS as part of its electronic aids. It’s still unclear whether Ducati will launch just the Scrambler Icon or ride in the entire range next month. What we’re sure of is that the new Scramblers wouldn’t be affordable and prices could start around Rs 9-9.50lakh (ex-showroom).
