Ducati has taken the wraps off two new concept models based on the current generation Scrambler. The concepts – CR24I and RR24I – represent two bold propositions from the bikemaker that further demonstrate the technical capabilities of the Centro Stile Ducati, the Italian firm's customisation arm.
The concept CR24I is the Bologna-based manufacturer’s tribute to legendary British venues in the 60s which gave birth to cafe racing. Taking matters further are individual body panels which are also design tributes to some of the icons of the motorcycling industry.
For starters. a tank-mounted fairing is a tribute to some Ducati icons such as the Pantah and the 750 SS. This is followed by the single seat which also recalls the classic “panettone” saddles of 70s sport bikes. And finally, that paint job on the body which again is a tribute to the iconography of British rockers of the 1960s. The resultant design will appeal to those who are looking for a contemporary, post-heritage-designed motorcycle.

On the contrary, the Ducati RR24I Scrambler is a study of simplicity with its clean lines and lack of unnecessary embellishments. Every aluminium component is intentionally left exposed, and the fuel tank incorporates a frame to attach a tank bag for carrying the essentials.
The removable passenger portion of the seat can transform into a luggage rack. Adding to this rugged, go-anywhere attitude are the knobby Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres mounted on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke rims, along with a high-clearance front fender that promises impressive terrain-tackling capabilities.
At the rear, an exposed jerry can pay homage to the upcycling philosophy, while the high-mounted Termignoni exhaust amplifies the tracker styling perfectly suited to this minimalist explorer. All in all, for those who resonate with Ducati's "Wind Wanderer" philosophy, the Scrambler RR24I is an uncompromising expression of the same in its most elemental and exhilarating form.
