It could potentially make its way to India
American electric motorcycle manufacturer Zero has revealed the 2024 version of the S at EICMA 2023, Italian Motorcycle Show. The new model has impressive range figures, with a maximum city range of 248 km.
The 2024 Zero S retains its design, with only minor updates to LED lighting and the tank's shape. It features a rider-friendly seat height of 787 mm, catering to a broad range of riders.
2024 Zero S showcases substantial changes with its Z-Force 75-7 motor, equipped with a 14.4 kWh battery, doubling on the previous model's capacity. It's expected to deliver a maximum city range of 248 km and a highway range of 182 km.
The notable improvement over the 2023 model is the extended range. The 2024 version also has higher peak torque at 132 Nm, compared to the 2023 model's at 106 Nm. Peak power sees a substantial increase, with 51 kW from 34 kW.
Additionally, the top speed has gone up to 167 kmph in the 2024 Zero S. Charging times have been adjusted, with the 2024 model taking 9.2 hours to reach 95 percent using a standard household plug.
Lastly, one downside is that the Zero S is heavier at 223 kg. The power pack warranty remains consistent at 5 years/unlimited kms.
Pricing for the 2024 model starts at $14,995 (approximately ₹12 lakhs) in the US. The Zero S could potentially make its way to India, thanks to a collaboration between Zero and Hero Motocorp. This partnership aims to manufacture electric motorcycles in India and introduce a lineup by 2025.
