More details have surfaced from the latest spy shot while Bajaj prepares to launch the bike as early as June.
A few days back, Rajiv Bajaj, bossman of Bajaj Auto confirmed that the marque’s first CNG bike will launch in June. Touted to be called the Bruzer 125, the commuter motorcycle will not just be a novel offering in the market, it’s whole proposition promises to push the boundaries of efficiency like it was never known before. Now we have spotted the bike again, and upon closer inspection, some interesting details have popped up.
That the Bruzer 125 will be a CNG bike is no surprise anymore. Moreover, reports also state that Bajaj will launch the bike under a different brand name. Therefore, a range of CNG bikes from the marque can very well be the future. Given that the Bruzer 125 will be targeted towards mileage-conscious buyers, it can also very well be priced between ₹80,000-₹90,000.
Interestingly, unlike conventional CNG vehicles which support dual-fuel technology, the Bajaj Bruzer 125 will run on CNG fuel only. This is primarily because to fit the big CNG tank, they had to do away with the fuel tank as a whole. However, we do expect it to have a small reservoir for emergency purposes. To know more about the technological advancements made with the Bruzer 125 head over here.
For starters, the Bajaj Bruzer 125 will get a disc/drum brake combination, and the front disc unit seems to have lifted from the Bajaj Pulsar 125. Suspension duties are taken care of by conventional telescopic fork and a monoshock suspension (earlier we had speculated that it would get a twin-shock absorber). The distinct twin-spoke alloy wheel has been a constant, thereby the same will very well make it into the production bike, thereby the bike will come fitted with tubeless tyres.
As mentioned earlier, the Bajaj Bruzer 125 is an interesting proposition, especially in recent times when fuel prices have skyrocketed. With CNG prices still affordable, it will help keep running costs low and in turn will also help reduce fuel imports.
The launch date of the Bajaj Bruzer 125 is yet to be confirmed but we expect it to hit Indian roads in first half of 2024. When it launches, it will find itself in a unique space in the Indian motorcycle market, that is devoid of any competition.
