Likely to take on the upcoming 750 cc Royal Enfields.

In an exclusive interview with ACKO Drive, Anupam Thareja, co-founder of Classic Legends, shared a scoop regarding the future engine strategies it is considering. Most interestingly, a mid-sized twin-cylinder engine platform is in the works. However, there is no clear timeline yet, and no details about its cubic capacity have been shared.

“We have many more engine strategies [in the pipeline]. We have a 650. We have a mid-size twin,” Thareja said to ACKO Drive. He then quickly followed up, saying “Do we put it [into a motorcycle]? Have people experienced this beauty? I don't think so", referring to the new Yezdi Roadster with its 334 cc Alpha-2 engine.

Such a twin-cylinder engine should be in the 700-750 cc segment. Considering Classic Legends likes to show off its modernity as much as its heritage, we expect this upcoming motor to be liquid-cooled, and hopefully, with electronic riding aids. Royal Enfield is also developing a 750 cc engine platform, which is derived from the current 650s, but these will not be as technologically advanced, featuring air/oil cooling and perhaps no riding aids.

While Thareja has shied away from giving us a timeline, we think twin-cylinder bikes from Classic Legends are likely to be launched in either late 2026 or early 2027.
