As Skoda gears up to launch the Kushaq facelift in the market, the carmaker has started testing the upcoming Slavia facelift. A test mule of the updated sedan has now been caught on camera testing on the roads of Pune. First launched in late 2021, the Skoda Slavia was the second model to be launched under the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL) India 2.0 programme after the Kushaq. This will be the first major update for Slavia since its launch.
The partially camouflaged test unit of the Slavia hinted at possible changes for the upcoming model. Up front, the signature Butterfly grille looks redesigned and rectangular in nature as compared to the octagonal unit in the current model. The grille is flanked by sleeker LED headlamps. The front bumper looks definitely reprofiled and houses a smaller air dam with new blacked-out internals.
The side profile remains unchanged in its entirety. The test unit rolls on slightly different black alloy wheels that are seen in the Slavia Monte Carlo Edition. At the rear, the updated Slavia gets a new sleeker LED taillight cluster that looks to be connected by a thin LED stripe across the tailgate. The cabin interiors of the Slavia are also expected to see some revisions but there is no evidence of the same in the latest spy shots.

The upcoming Skoda Slavia facelift isn’t expected to receive any mechanical changes. The sedan is expected to continue with the same set of turbocharged petrol engines — a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder unit and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder unit. The former kicks out 114 bhp and 178 Nm of peak torque, while being paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The 1.5-litre unit pumps out 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque which is exclusively mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The current Skoda Slavia is priced between ₹10 lakh and 17.99 lakh (both ex-showroom). We expect the new updated Slavia to command a minor price hike of ₹20,000-30,000 depending on the variant. It is most likely to make its debut a few months after the Kushaq facelift gets launched next week, most likely in the first half of 2026.
