There has been no official announcement from Mercedes-Benz regarding the availability of the Maybach EQS SUV in India.
Mercedes-Benz unveiled its first all-electric Maybach SUV at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. The luxury vehicle, named the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV, is based on the EQS sedan platform and features an extended wheelbase for added cabin space. There has been no official announcement from Mercedes-Benz regarding the availability of the Maybach EQS SUV in India. However, considering India's growing luxury car market and increasing interest in electric vehicles, it is likely that the vehicle will be made available in India at some point.
The exterior of the Maybach EQS SUV is sleek and elegant, with a long hood, a gently sloping roofline, and a distinctive Maybach grille. The vehicle's design language is influenced by Mercedes' "Sensual Purity" philosophy, which emphasizes clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic.
Under the hood, the Maybach EQS SUV features an electric powertrain that delivers up to 650 bhp and 950 Nm of torque. The vehicle's battery pack has a capacity of 100 kWh, which allows for a range of up to 600 km on a single charge. The Maybach EQS SUV also supports fast charging, which allows the battery to be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 31 minutes.
Inside the vehicle, the Maybach EQS SUV offers a luxurious cabin with premium materials and advanced technology. The vehicle features a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated seats, and a massage function for both the driver and passengers. The Maybach EQS SUV also has a state-of-the-art infotainment system, which includes a 24-inch OLED touchscreen display and a digital instrument cluster.
The Maybach EQS SUV also features advanced driver assistance technologies, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. The vehicle also has a 360-degree camera system, which provides a bird's eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings.
Mercedes plans to begin production of the Maybach EQS SUV in late 2023, with deliveries starting in early 2024. The company has not yet announced pricing for the vehicle, but it is expected to be significantly more expensive than the standard EQS SUV, which starts at around $100,000.
The Maybach EQS SUV is part of Mercedes' larger strategy to electrify its entire line-up by 2030. The company plans to launch several new electric vehicles over the next few years, including the EQE sedan, the EQB crossover, and the EQG SUV.
The Maybach brand is known for its exclusive, high-end vehicles, and the Maybach EQS SUV is no exception. The vehicle combines the best of Mercedes' luxury and Maybach's exclusivity, with the added benefit of an electric powertrain. The Maybach EQS SUV is sure to be a hit with customers who want a luxurious and environmentally friendly vehicle.
