The new Instax mini SE is available in five colours, and photos take about 90 seconds to develop.

Fujifilm has launched its latest instant camera, the Instax mini SE, in India. Priced starting at Rs. 8,499, this entry-level model is aimed at young, modern consumers who appreciate the nostalgia and instant gratification of printed photos. Fujifilm says its Instax series cameras and printers allow users to capture moments spontaneously, giving them an unmatched fun, creative energy. Whether it’s special events or just everyday life, photography enthusiasts and beginners can capture and share physical photos without the complication of most cameras.

The device is available in five colours - pink, purple, green, blue, and light gray. The starting price of Rs. 8,499 includes a 10-pack of print media, and another bundle with 40 prints included is priced at Rs. 9,999 in India. The new camera goes on sale from July 10 and will be available through over 1,500 offline stores as well as Instax.in and authorised third-party retailers.

The Instax mini SE uses Fujifilm’s credit-card-sized mini format instant film, measuring 62 x 46mm. Each shot takes about 90 seconds to develop. Film media is also available with borders in various colours and patterns for different occasions and use cases. This camera has a 60mm fixed focal length lens and a 1/60s shutter speed, plus a manual brightness control dial so you can adjust the exposure depending on ambient light conditions. The camera also has an automatic flash. There’s a 0.4X optical viewfinder with a target spot for framing shots, but no screen or other controls. The Instax mini SE uses four AA batteries, and the company says you should be able to get 200 prints from a set of alkaline batteries.

Fujifilm’s smartphone app lets users scan physical photos and store them digitally, as well as make edits and share them with friends.

The company also recently announced the appointment of actors Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan as its brand ambassadors for the Instax product range in India.
