In Mexico, Foxconn is currently constructing a large manufacturing facility dedicated to producing Nvidia's advanced GB200 superchips.
Foxconn, world's biggest contract manufacturer and also a key assembler of Apple iPhones, has expressed confidence in its ability to navigate potential tariff challenges more effectively than its competitors, a report by news agency Reuters has said.

Speaking at a forum in Taipei, Foxconn Chairman Young Liu was quoted as saying by Reuters that the company's robust global manufacturing strategy as a key buffer against potential economic disruptions. Liu emphasised that Foxconn's diversified production network positions the company to better absorb potential trade impacts compared to other manufacturers.
Foxconn's comments come in the wake of statements by then US President-elect Donald Trump, who proposed significant tariffs on products from Mexico, Canada, and China.
While Foxconn maintains substantial manufacturing capabilities in China, including a major iPhone assembly plant, the company has been actively expanding its international manufacturing footprint, including in India.
Foxconn's strategic investments span multiple countries, including the United States, Mexico, and Vietnam, highlighting a proactive approach to supply chain resilience. In Mexico, the company is currently constructing a large manufacturing facility dedicated to producing Nvidia's advanced GB200 superchips.
Liu acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding the incoming administration's trade policies, stating that Foxconn would develop a comprehensive strategy after January 20, when the new administration's policy landscape becomes clearer.
