Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is now available on iOS and Android devices. The remastered collection, which includes Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas, can be downloaded and played for free by Netflix subscribers.
Rockstar has confirmed that the trilogy is available on mobile platforms as of Thursday. Netflix members can enjoy playing classic games as part of their subscription. Non-Netflix users can download and buy each game from their respective app stores.
The mobile ports of the trilogy aim to provide significant visual and gameplay improvements over the originals. A new "Classic Lighting" mode has been added to restore the look and feel of the skies from the PS2-era games.
In addition to mobile, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition remains available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Rockstar says the individual mobile games can be purchased separately and feature additional upgrades.
The rollout comes as anticipation grows for Rockstar's next full entry, Grand Theft Auto VI. A trailer earlier this month revealed it will launch in 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, returning to Vice City with new lead characters Lucia and Jason.
