Harman’s Ready Display achieves the world’s first HDR10+ Automotive certification, which could set a new standard for in-vehicle visuals.
Harman has announced that its Ready Display has become the world’s first product to achieve HDR10+ Automotive certification.
The HDR10+ Automotive certification ensures that displays reproduce High Dynamic Range (HDR) content with exceptional fidelity, even in the challenging lighting conditions of a vehicle interior.
Harman’s Ready Display is claimed to have undergone rigorous testing to validate its ability to deliver consistent brightness, contrast, and colour accuracy across varying ambient light and viewing angles. The certification also confirms the display’s “Adaptive” capabilities, which dynamically adjust brightness and color in real-time to ensure an optimal viewing experience in any driving scenario.
Powered by Samsung’s Neo QLED technology, the Ready Display lineup includes the NQ3, NQ5, and NQ7 series, each engineered to excel in the ever-changing lighting environments of a car cabin. These displays leverage intelligent algorithms to optimize image quality, providing drivers and passengers with immersive, true-to-life visuals.
Shilpa Dely, Vice President and Ready Display Business Lead at Harman, believes that by setting a new industry standard for in-cabin display quality, the company is enabling automakers to deliver better experiences that resonate with consumers.
For automakers, the HDR10+ Automotive certification offers a trusted pathway to differentiate their vehicles with premium in-cabin experiences.
For consumers, it means uncompromised visual quality, whether streaming entertainment, navigating, or simply enjoying the ride. Harman’s Ready Display is now available for integration into next-generation vehicles
