Hero might be bringing it to the UK with MotoGB as its British partner.
Hero is all set to foray into the UK market with the Mavrick 440, its first 440 cc, sport cruiser, which was launched in India earlier this year. Built in collaboration with Harley-Davidson, the Mavrick 440 shares a lot of its underpinnings with the American bike maker’s X440.
The international report that has made the claim further states that Hero might not name it the Mavrick 440 in the UK but sell it under a new moniker. And while the new name is yet to be confirmed, it will slot in as an entry-level bike in the market. Thereby, its competition will include the likes of the Triumph Speed 400 and the Royal Enfiled Classic 350, both of which are priced under £5000 (which is roughly Rs 5.28 lakh in the UK).
Mechanically, the Mavrick 440 should continue with the same engine tune like the Indian bike. Hence, the 440 cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled engine should put out 27 bhp and 36 Nm. This will qualify it as an A2 license-compatible motorcycle. Feature-wise, the Mavrick 440 might launch with all the bells and whistles as standard. This would include a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity for accept/reject calls and turn-by-turn navigation. In the Indian market, these features are reserved for the top variant only.

Meanwhile, Hero was earlier slated to hit the UK market with the all-electric Vida V1 Pro electric scooter using MotoGB as its distribution partners. But that seems to have been delayed now. While we have tried to get in touch with Hero for an official quote for the same. Further details like the price of the Hero Mavrick 440 and availability dates in the UK will be eventually revealed in the coming weeks.
