Hero has launched a new sporty variant of the Pleasure Plus Xtec scooter in India. The new Hero Pleasure Plus Xtec Sports sits between the Xtec Connected and Xtec standard trims and is priced at ₹ 79,738 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The visual difference between the Xtec Sports and other variants is its colour scheme. The new variant boasts a fresh Abrax Orange Blue colour scheme with blue as the base and contrasting orange stripes running across the front mudguard, apron, and side panels. Further enhancing the sporty look are orange pinstripes on the wheels and body-coloured grab rails and mirrors. It also gets blacked out treatment for the wheels and other accents, which on the normal trim are chrome finished, to give it that cool trendy look.

The Hero Pleasure Plus Xtec Sports comes equipped with a semi-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts. Additionally, it has a projector LED headlamp, a feature rarely seen in this segment.
Apart from the cosmetic upgrades, the Xtec Sports retains the mechanical specifications of the standard Xtec variant. It is powered by the same 110.9 cc air-cooled engine that churns out 8 bhp and 8.7 Nm. This engine is mated to a CVT transmission.
The scooter rides on 10-inch wheels and features a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear for suspension. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes at both ends with a combined braking system.

In the 110cc scooter segment, the Hero Pleasure Plus Xtec Sports enters a competitive price range. At ₹ 79,738 (ex-showroom), the Pleasure Plus Xtec Sports is expensive compared to the TVS Scooty Zest 110 ₹ 75,208 (ex-showroom) and Honda Dio ₹ 74,235 (ex-showroom). It remains to be seen whether the sporty 110 cc buyer would spend that much bit extra over more established rivals to opt for some fancy tech or not.
