Hero Vida Sway Trike Concept Showcased At Hero World 2024

Hero World 2024 was Hero’s chance to show its groundbreaking concepts and new rides. One such concept was the reverse trike called the Hero Sway Trike, an electric scooter with two front wheels and a solo rear.

This concept is not entirely new in the motorcycle world and has been previously seen on the Piaggio MP3 and Yamaha Niken. The reasons for development are quite similar. Hero states that this setup will enhance stability and improve front-end grip around corners.

The Sway Trike concept is built upon Hero's existing electric scooter, the Vida V1 Pro. The front end has been redesigned to include an additional wheel. This is held in place by independent suspension and a disc brake for each front wheel. This transforms it into a reverse trike concept with a pair of wheels at the front.

The Sway Trike borrows most of its body panels from the Vida V1 scooter. It has a single seat and rear carrier. However, there is no additional information about the engine, making it unclear whether Hero has made any modifications to the Vida's powertrain.

Hero has not revealed whether it will make it to production. This pushes it further back in the timeline but opens up avenues for a new segment of scooters. It would be nice to see an Indian brand pioneering in this space.
