Fresh from the launch of the new Hero Glamour X, Hero MotoCorp has silently expanded the Xtreme 125R portfolio with the addition of a new single-seat variant. This new single-seat model sits strategically within Hero's existing Xtreme 125R range, priced ₹2,000 below the premium split-seat ABS version whilst costing ₹1,575 more than the entry-level split-seat IBS variant. This positioning places it between the ₹98,425-worth IBS model and the ₹1.02 lakh flagship ABS (all prices being ex-showroom Delhi.)
Apart from the revised seating arrangement, the single-seat variant maintains identical specifications to other models in the range. The Xtreme 125R continues to draw power from a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine, the same unit that drives Hero's new Glamour X 125. This air-cooled powerplant delivers 11.4 bhp at 8,250rpm and generates peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm, channelled through a five-speed transmission.
Hero's latest addition enters a competitive 125cc segment where it faces established rivals, including the TVS Raider 125, Honda CB 125 Hornet, and Bajaj Pulsar N125. The single-seat variant offers customers another choice within Hero's 125 cc sports motorcycle range, balancing practicality with performance in this popular displacement category.
