Honda has not disclosed the quantum of the price hike for the new year, but attributed the increase to rising input costs.
Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has announced it will be increasing prices across its complete model range with effect from January 2026. Honda presently retails the Elevate, City, City Hybrid, and Amaze models in the country. The company has not disclosed the quantum of the price hike for the new year, but attributed the increase to rising input costs. This is the first major hike from the manufacturer since prices were revised in September amidst the GST slab revision.
A spokesperson from HCIL said, “At Honda Cars India, we have made sustained efforts in absorbing rising input costs for several months to minimize the impact on our customers. However, with these pressures continuing, we will now implement a price revision effective from January 2026.”

The automaker has multiple launches planned across different segments starting with the Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV, which will be locally built and is slated to arrive in FY2027. The manufacturer is also evaluating the Honda Prelude and ZR-V for India as halo products, which will arrive as Completely Built Units (CBU). Furthermore, the Honda City and Elevate are expected to get upgrades in 2026. Both models could get styling and interior revisions, while adding more features to the mix. The move will also help keep the current generation City relevant till the next generation arrives in 2028. The Honda Amaze is a relatively new model, but should also get timely revisions around the festive season.
