The Elevate is the first among the 5 SUVs to be launched by 2030
It was a couple of days ago that the Honda Elevate made its world premiere in India. The Japanese car maker announced its entry into the compact SUV segment with this car and with a launch scheduled for the festive season, it will be looking to substantially increase its market share in the country. With the elevate the plan is clear to make India one of the manufacturing hubs for the company in the world and the Elevate will be exported to other markets from here.
But that's not all, the company has announced that by 2030, it will launch 5 new SUVs in the country, which is big news from the carmaker. Takuya Tsumura is the President & CEO of Honda Cars India, said, "We will be launching 5 new SUVs in the country by 2030 and the elevate is the first of them"
He, however, did not give any indication about the segments the company will target. With the elevate aiming at the compact SUV segment, we understand that to gain market share and relevance, the company will have to look at the subcompact and even the Midsize SUV segment, where there has been big growth in the past few years.
