Honor has announced a global strategic partnership with Porsche Design to collaborate on innovative, premium smartphone designs. Honor revealed the new collaboration with Porsche Design through a post on the Chinese social network Weibo. The brands shared a poster featuring their logos and the tagline "Born for Pioneers."
Honor and Porsche Design said in a statement that they would combine their respective design philosophies to push the boundaries of smartphone technology and offer consumers a luxury experience.
"The exclusive partnership with HONOR is a milestone for the further expansion of Porsche Design's iconic electronics product portfolio. With HONOR we have found the perfect brand partner to drive innovation and offer our customers exciting new products that perfectly combine exceptional design and outstanding performance. We share the same goal to become leaders in the modern luxury segment of smart devices," says Stefan Buescher, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Lifestyle Group.
"We are honored to work with a partner like Porsche Design and to explore how openness and innovative collaboration can merge exceptional design and outstanding performance to bring state-of-the-art technology to the premium segment of smart devices," says George Zhao, CEO of HONOR.
The first product from the partnership will be unveiled in January 2024 in China. Reports indicate this could be a Porsche Design variant of Honor's upcoming Magic 6 flagship smartphone series.
The Magic 6 is expected to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with AI integration and improved satellite communication. It may include a 160MP periscope zoom camera and a "Magic Capsule" display similar to the iPhone's Dynamic Island.
