HPD:

The AI Pin is a new type of screen less computer which uses AI

Humane AI, the AI hardware startup founded by Apple veterans Imran Chaudhari and Bethany Bongiorno, has revealed that it plans to bring the AI Pin to India. Imran Chaudhari, the chairman and president of Humane, told Times Now on the sidelines of the MWC in Barcelona that they were working on ways to bring the product to India.

"It is our goal to be in India at some point. We have been really impressed by the demand. We have seen the biggest interest in India. We are trying to figure out how to get into India and make sure we are culturally appropriate in terms of the types of things Indian customers want from their services," said Chaudhari.

The husband and wife couple, Chaudhari and Bongiorno, will also come to India and spend time in the country to understand customers and improve their device.

The AI Pin was supposed to go on sale in March but now has been pushed back to April.

Chaudhari said that the devices will leave the factories in March and by the time distribution happens, it will be April.

Chaudhari also revealed the Indian inspiration behind the AI Pin. "When Bethany and I left our work at Apple, we were traveling for a year and figuring out what to do next. We were at a restaurant and there was an Indian family — four kids, a mother, and a father, all of them on their phones. At that moment, we looked at each other and said we could make a better computer," Chaudhari elaborated.
