Hyundai also marked its 25th year association with the Bollywood Actor
Hyundai Motor India celebrated the delivery of the 1100th unit of its IONIQ 5 electric SUV to Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan. The milestone not only highlighted the success of the Ioniq 5, with over 1000 units sold, but also marked 25 years of partnership between Hyundai and Shah Rukh Khan.
At the presentation ceremony, Unsoo Kim, CEO of Hyundai Motor India, said, “Hyundai has been associated with Shah Rukh Khan for the last 25 years, making it one of the longest brand-ambassador partnerships in the industry. We are truly grateful for his unwavering support in Hyundai and hope our association goes on for many more years to come.”
Shah Rukh Khan, said, that the IONIQ 5 was his first ever EV and that "The brand Hyundai is family to me and it is my pleasure to be associated with one of the most trusted and loved car brand in India.”
Hyundai Motor India introduced the IONIQ 5 to the Indian market with a starting price of ₹ 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Following its launch, the all-electric crossover underwent a price increase and is currently priced at ₹ 45.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Available in a single top-spec RWD version, the Ioniq 5 is equipped with a 72.6 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor, delivering 216 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. The model boasts an ARAI-certified driving range of 631 km on a full charge. Charging is efficient, with the battery pack capable of reaching 10 to 80 percent charge in just 18 minutes using a 350 kW DC fast charger.
