It gets a refreshed exterior and interior design and is expected to come to India next year.
Hyundai has unveiled the facelift of the Tucson SUV for the global markets. Expect the facelift to reach Indian shores sometime next year. With this update, the Hyundai Tucson receives a refreshed exterior and interior design. However, more details will be announced later, when the car launches in Europe in early 2024.
Outside, the Tucson facelift gets a slightly tweaked version of the parametric grille with slimmer elements and bigger LED daytime running lamps. The Tucson also gets a redesigned front bumper with bigger enclosures for the headlights. Even the rear has been redesigned, Hyundai says making it seem like it has a wider stance. Furthermore, the Tucson facelift also has a new design for the dual-tone alloy wheels.
It's inside where the Tucson facelift sees the biggest change. It now has a twin-screen setup that is integrated together into one curved binnacle. It also gets a new storage cubby above the glove box and all the AC vents have moved below the screens. Hyundai has replaced the full-touch panel with a combination of physical and digital controls. The temperature can be set by two knobs on the panels which also display the set temperature, while all other controls are touch-based.
Above the HVAC panel are the media controls which also have two knobs to control where the one closer to the driver controls the volume. Many controls have also been integrated into the centre armrest which also has a wireless charging pad and two cupholders. Hyundai has moved the drive selector from the centre console to the steering column. Speaking of which, it houses a new three-spoke steering wheel with a logo seen on the Ioniq cars.
Hyundai has not yet revealed the powertrain details of the Tucson Facelift but expect it to carry over the same powertrains as the pre-facelift model. It gets a choice of either a 154 bhp, 192 Nm, 2.0-litre petrol engine or a 184 bhp, 416 Nm, 2.0-litre diesel engine where the former is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and the latter to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
