The collaboration will deploy 5,000 portable power banks designed to support various electric vehicles.

A new portable charging solution for EVs has been introduced through a strategic partnership between deep-tech mobility startup iGowise and energy solutions provider Patnaik Energy Group. The collaboration will deploy 5,000 portable power banks designed to support various electric vehicles including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and small cars, as well as drones, electric farm equipment, and wilderness lighting systems.

These portable charging units will be positioned at strategic urban locations in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, focusing on high-rise residential buildings and commercial zones where traditional charging infrastructure may be limited. The initiative will operate through both lease-based and pay-per-use models, creating what the companies describe as an "Energy as a Service" solution. Users can access the power banks through mobile apps or via a scan-and-use facility at charging locations.

The power banks feature advanced technology including AIS-156 compliance, various battery chemistries such as lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and lithium titanium oxide (LTO), and AI-powered battery management systems. The units have wheels for mobility and can be transported using iGo electric trikes. The project's initial phase aims to deploy 1,000 units in Bengaluru and Hyderabad within the first year, with iGowise planning to raise $1 million in seed funding to support the rollout.
