Bengaluru-based mobility startup iGoWise, also known as iGo, has announced the beginning of preorders for its BeiGo X4 three-wheeled vehicle, which it calls a “smart electric learning trike”. The fully made-in-india trike is aimed at filling a gap in urban mobility needs for people across age and accessibility levels. Users only need a standard motorcycle license, and the vehicle doesn’t need any more parking space than most bikes.
The iGo trike is self-balancing, using what the company calls its patented anti-topple swivelling design for safety and agility. It has a top speed of 70 kmph, with 80 Nm torque. It can go from zero to 30 kmph in 3.3 seconds. Riders will get forward and reverse gears and three riding modes (Smart, Sane and Stark), plus a triple-disc Combined Braking System (CBS).
Three variants are listed on the company’s website: the BeiGo X4 Lite 2.2kWh, BeiGo X4 Standard 3.6kWh, and BeiGo X4 Standard 4.4kWh (dual battery) priced at ₹1,45,000, ₹1,85,000 and ₹1,97.000 respectively. Colour options include Vayu White and Bright Saffron.
Buyers can choose between batteries that offer 140 km, 100 km, and 70 km of range. The trike supports 72V charging, and can be recharged to 80 percent in 1 hour, 40 minutes. It’s built around a steel space-frame chassis, and buyers get a 5-year standard warranty. The company also says most of its parts can be repaired by any local mechanic.
“India is the world’s largest three-wheeler market, yet personal-use trikes have remained largely unexplored due to handling difficulties and safety concerns,” said Sravan Kumar Appana, iGoWise Mobility CEO in a press statement. “Our mission is to redefine what a trike can be, making it aspirational, robust, and safe for everyday riders. With strong emphasis on indigenous R&D and a resilient supply chain, we’re proud to present a world-class product built right here in India.”
