Brooklyn-based company offers a limited-edition run of its electric scooter with a futuristic design and modular cargo
Last year the company Infinite Machine launched a scooter called P1 and it is now back for round two of sales. The Brooklyn-based electric scooter company has made the P1, which has a bold, futuristic design inspired by minimalism and modern design. It has cutting-edge architecture and packs a serious punch in terms of performance.
Inspired by modern architecture and technology, the Infinite P1 takes a sharp departure from the traditional electric scooter design. Its clean lines and geometric angles evoke a sense of the monolithic, further accentuated by the sleek silver colour option. This isn't just a functional vehicle; it's a head-turner on the streets, a statement piece that blends cutting-edge design with undeniable practicality.
The Infinite P1 packs a serious punch, boasting a peak power output of 12 kW and a top speed of up to 88.5 kmph. It is the fastest electric scooter in its class. The range on the Infinite P1 is impressive at 96.5 km. This is possible on a single charge thanks to its removable 3.2 kWh battery. Conveniently recharge the battery using a standard wall outlet. The charging time details have not been yet disclosed by the company but we can expect 4-5 hrs of charging for this size of a battery.

The Infinite P1 isn't just about looking sharp and scooting fast. Infinite Machine understands the needs of urban riders and has designed the P1 with functionality in mind. The key feature here is the modular rear cargo area. Imagine a system-like building block for your scooter's back end. This allows you to customise the storage to fit your individual needs. Whether you're a daily commuter with a backpack full of essentials or a weekend adventurer with camping gear, the Infinite P1 can adapt. The modularity doesn't stop there. Perhaps you need to haul groceries or takeout for two – a dedicated cargo box can be easily attached. Thinking of a weekend getaway? A compatible trailer can be hitched to the Infinite P1, extending your carrying capacity for extended adventures.

Having said that the P1 is a limited-edition run, giving a select few the chance to own a piece of the future of urban mobility. With a starting price of $10,000 (~ ₹8.39 lakh), the P1 falls into the premium category of electric scooters. While the P1 itself may not be available in India at this time, its innovative design points towards a different direction in which electric scooters could take shape in the future. The Indian electric scooter market has primarily focused on affordability and practicality, with design often taking a backseat.
