Jeep has introduced a new limited-run variant of its iconic off-roader, the Wrangler, in India. Dubbed the Willys ‘41 Special Edition, this model pays tribute to the brand’s military heritage and is priced at ₹73.24 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Only 30 units of this special edition have been earmarked for the Indian market.
Based on the top-of-the-line Rubicon trim, the Willys ‘41 Special Edition is finished in a distinctive “41 Green” paint, a colour that evokes the military origins of the original Willys MB, which entered mass production in 1941. A ‘1941’ decal on the hood further underscores the historical reference. In addition to the exclusive green, buyers can also choose from the standard colour palette—white, black, red, and grey.
Visually, the limited-edition variant adds a few practical and cosmetic enhancements. These include powered side steps for easier ingress and egress, new grab handles inside the cabin, all-weather floor mats, and integrated front and rear dashcams—useful additions for off-road driving. Customers looking for more can also opt for a set of dealer-installed accessories at an additional cost of ₹4.56 lakh. This package includes a sunrider rooftop and a side ladder with a roof carrier, amplifying the SUV’s adventure-ready persona.
Mechanically, there are no changes to the Willys ‘41 Special Edition. It continues to be powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 266 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s full-time 4x4 system, ensuring the SUV retains its off-road prowess.
