Shell India will deploy a Combined Charging System of 50 kW and 60 kW DC fast chargers at various locations across India.
In a significant move to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption in India, JSW MG Motor India has announced a strategic collaboration with Shell India Markets Private Limited (SIMPL). This partnership aims to enhance the public charging infrastructure for EVs across the country, allowing JSW MG Motor India customers to access Shell's extensive fuel station network for vehicle charging.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Shell India will deploy a Combined Charging System of 50 kW and 60 kW DC fast chargers at various locations throughout India. This expansion is expected to strengthen the EV charging network and facilitate long-distance travel for EV users. JSW MG Motor India customers will be able to locate these chargers easily through the MyMG App and Shell's network discovery tool.

JSW MG Motor India has been proactive in developing the EV ecosystem, even before launching its MG ZS EV model. The company has established partnerships for battery recycling and second-life management and has implemented multi-step charging systems in residential communities and showrooms. It offers customers a comprehensive 6-way charging ecosystem, including home chargers, an extended charging network, and roadside assistance.
To date, JSW MG Motor India has installed around 500 chargers in residential areas and communities across India within 500 days. The company now boasts a total network of over 15,000 charging touchpoints nationwide, including both public and home chargers.
