JSW MG Motor India Cuts SUV Prices Following GST Reduction

JSW MG Motor India has reduced prices across its petrol and diesel SUV range following the government's decision to lower GST rates on vehicles. The price cuts, which came into effect on September 22, offer savings of between ₹54,000 and ₹3,04,000 across the company's three SUV models.

The MG Astor now starts at ₹9.65 lakh, down from ₹9.99 lakh - making it cheaper than when it first launched in 2021. The mid-size Hector SUV has seen its starting price drop to ₹14.00 lakh from ₹14.49 lakh, while the premium Gloster SUV now begins at ₹39.80 lakh, down from ₹42.63 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).

"The government's initiative to rationalise GST rates is a welcome step that directly supports car buyers by enhancing their purchasing power and fostering positive consumer sentiment," said Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India. The company has passed on the full benefit of the GST reduction to customers, with the new pricing applying to vehicles, spare parts, and accessories.

MG Gloster customers can access additional benefits worth up to ₹3,50,000. The manufacturer is also offering financing packages, including 100% on-road funding and a three-month EMI holiday. The price reduction comes ahead of the festive season, when car sales typically increase in India.
