Auto Sales August 2025: JSW MG Motor India Posts Record August Sales of 6,578 Units; Windsor and Comet Lead Month-on-Month Growth

JSW MG Motor India achieved its highest monthly deliveries of 2025 in August, selling 6,578 units—a robust 52% year-on-year increase over the 4,323 units dispatched in August 2024. Strong festive-season demand for both ICE and EV models fuelled the surge, reinforcing the company’s growing market footprint.

On a month-on-month basis, JSW MG recorded notable gains in its key models:

• MG Windsor: India’s best-selling EV notched its highest-ever monthly sales in August, marking a 5% increase over July 2025.
• MG Comet: The street-smart compact car delivered a standout 21% rise in wholesale dispatches compared to July 2025.

These month-to-month sales uplifts underscore shifting consumer affinity toward MG’s diversified line-up. While total volumes for July were not disclosed, the double-digit growth in core models signals sustained momentum heading into the peak festive period.

JSW MG Motor India’s strategic expansion of its sales network has been pivotal to this performance. In August alone, the company opened three new dealerships, bringing its network to 543 sales and after-sales touchpoints across 270 cities, covering over 90% of India’s geographic footprint. Additionally, new service centres placed within a 15-km radius of major urban centres now guarantee assistance within 30 minutes.

JSW MG Motor India’s Halol plant, with an annual capacity of over 100,000 vehicles, and its focus on CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, Electric) mobility, continues to strengthen its market proposition.

As the festive season gains pace, JSW MG Motor India is poised to capitalise on growing consumer enthusiasm, with the MG Windsor and MG Comet set to remain strong sellers.
