Both the Kabira KM3000 and KM4000 are the first in the electric vehicle industry to feature an aluminium core hub motor.
Goa-based Kabira Mobility today launched the Mark-II iterations of its electric motorcycles - KM3000 and KM4000. The updates introduced with the motorcycles include both aesthtetically and technologically. The latter has further enhanced the performance of the electric motorcycle and with some first-in-segment engineering, both the KM3000 and KM4000 Mark-II models have set a new benchmark in the electric motorbike segment, claims the company.
Both the Kabira KM3000 and KM4000 Mark-II models are available in just one variant. The former is priced at ₹1.74 lakh, while the latter will set you back by ₹1.76 lakh. In this price range, the KM-duo of electric motorcycles compete against the likes Matter Aera 5000, Tork Kratos R, Revolt RV400 and the Oben Rorr. The above price means that both the electric bikes don’t qualify for the Fame II subsidies.
The new KM3000 and KM4000 Mark-II are the first in the electric motorcycle segment to feature a unique 12 kW aluminium core hub motor. This new powertrain developed in collaboration with Foxtron delivers maximum torque of 192 Nm at the wheel, enabling it to reach a claimed top speedof 120 kmph, while accelerating from 0-40 kmph in just 2.9 seconds.
The Kabira KM3000 and KM4000 come with a unique cell to module pack with varying capacities of 4.1 kWh and 5.15 kWh. In addition to that, both are also the first-in-segment to feature a high-speed 1.5 kW on-board charger. This charger takes 60 minutes to charge 0-60 per cent of the battery that is good for a certified range of 201 km.
In addition to the above, the KM3000 and KM4000 will also feature an all-new projector headlamp, but the tail lamp and indicators are all LED units. Infotainment duties are carried out by a 5-inch TFT dashboard and with Bluetooth connectivity, it not just gets over 40 connected features, it also gets a tyre pressure monitoring system. Both the electric motorcycles are also the first-in-segment to feature dual-CBS brakes with dual-mode regenerative system, along with cruise control.
Both the KM3000 and KM4000 are available with warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km. In addition to that, the chargers and electric motors are available with 1 year/10,000 km warranty, which can be extended up to 8 year or 80,000 km. While the battery is covered for 3 year or 30,000 km (extendable up to 8 year or 80,000 km).
Speaking on the occasion of this launch, Jaibir Siwach, CEO, Kabira Mobility said, “ The KM3000 and KM4000 Mark-II models some of the Most Powerful and Longest Riding Bikes in the market, the biggest feature of the bikes are our Partners like Foxconn, Showa, Jio which have enabled us to develop and launch this Machine which will redefine the Electric Motorbike segment as we know of.” Bookings for the KM3000 and KM4000 have already commenced and deliveries for the same will start from March, 2024 onwards.
