Warranty extension follows the spree of launches in the past few months.
Kawasaki India steps up its game with a warranty program with a longer duration than what it was previously offering. 2024 has been a busy year for Kawasaki India. In the first four months alone, they've launched a total of six new motorcycles, keeping them relevant and catering to a wider range of rider preferences. The new standard warranty program should help in enhancing customer satisfaction for its big bike owners.
Previously offering a 2-year warranty, Kawasaki motorcycles will now benefit from a 3 year/36,000 km warranty. There's a caveat, however. This extended warranty excludes the KX and KLX dirt bike range, as these are non-street legal machines. Customers will see a price increase of around ₹ 10,000 across Kawasaki's motorcycle lineup to account for the extended warranty coverage.
Kawasaki also offers an extended warranty (EW) called K-Care, which includes EW and AMC. This warranty is valid across India and provides a total of 4 years, or 50,000 km, from the date of purchase. It can be transferred to a new customer if the motorcycle is resold. So in a way it adds to the motorcycle's resale value.
Kawasaki India has been on a launching spree in 2024, introducing a range of new motorcycles to cater to diverse rider preferences. The iconic ZX-6R supersport makes a comeback with Euro 5/BS6 emission compliance, ensuring a powerful and environmentally responsible riding experience. Cruiser enthusiasts can rejoice with the return of the beloved Eliminator 500 moniker in India after nearly two decades. This motorcycle promises a comfortable and stylish ride. Sharing the same engine as the Eliminator, the Ninja 500 is likely to appeal to riders seeking a more performance-oriented option. Kawasaki didn't neglect existing models either. The popular Z900, Z650RS, and Versys 650 received updates for 2024, most likely featuring new color schemes to keep them fresh in the market.
The extended warranty signifies that Kawasaki India wants to provide a more comprehensive ownership experience. With a longer warranty period, riders can enjoy greater peace of mind knowing their motorcycles are covered for a wider range of potential issues. This can be particularly appealing to new customers in the Kawasaki brand who plan to keep their Kawasaki for an extended period. On the flip side, the price increase may be a deciding factor for some potential buyers.
