Kia India has expanded its Carens Clavis EV lineup with two new mid-spec trims—HTX E and HTX E ER—positioned between the base HTK+ and the premium HTX variants. The addition brings the total variant count to six and widens the price spectrum from ₹17.99 lakh to ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom) across the range.
The HTX E (Standard Range) is priced at ₹19.99 lakh, while the HTX E ER (Extended Range) commands ₹21.99 lakh, marking a ₹2 lakh premium for the larger 51.4 kWh battery with a claimed 490 km range on a single charge. Both new trims slot neatly below the existing HTX (₹20.49 lakh) and HTX ER (₹22.49 lakh), while the flagship HTX+ ER tops out at ₹24.49 lakh.

Beyond the price adjustments, the HTX E bridges the gap by incorporating many features from the higher-end HTX variant. Standard across both HTX E trims are:
The HTX E ER variant further adds 17-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels, aligning its exterior stance with the premium trims. Both variants continue to support fast charging from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 39 minutes via a 100 kW DC charger, delivering 133 bhp (Standard) and 169 bhp (Extended Range) with 255 Nm of torque.

With these mid-spec additions, Kia aims to capture buyers who desire a broad feature set—panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging and more—without stretching to the top-tier pricing of the HTX and HTX+ ER models, which include ADAS Level 2 and Bose premium audio among their highlights.
