Kia India has unveiled the 2025 Carens Clavis, a premium iteration of its MPV lineup, offering enhanced features and a diversified variant structure. Set to launch on May 23, 2025, the Carens Clavis is available in seven variants: HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), HTX, and HTX Plus. With this, Kia introduces a refreshed design and updated powertrain options on the Carens Clavis, aiming to cater to a broader customer base.
HTE: The base variant includes halogen headlights, front and rear skid plates, a roof-mounted spoiler, body-coloured door handles, and 16-inch steel wheels with stylised covers (15-inch black alloy wheels for NA petrol variants). Interior features comprise a dual-tone black and beige cabin theme, semi-leatherette seat upholstery, a semi-digital instrument console with a 4.2-inch MID, and manual AC with rear vents.
Safety is addressed with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill start assist, hill descent control, and disc brakes on all wheels.

HTE (O): Building upon the HTE, this variant adds 16-inch styled steel wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, a shark fin antenna, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 6-speaker sound system, steering-mounted audio controls, and a rear parking camera.
HTK: Enhancements include LED DRLs, roof rails, a dual-tone black-beige cabin theme with black metallic finish on the dashboard, multiple pockets on the front passenger seatback, auto AC, and a one-touch auto up/down driver window.
HTK Plus and HTK Plus (O): These mid-tier variants offer additional features such as a sunroof, push-button start/stop, and advanced infotainment options.

HTX and HTX Plus: The top-tier variants boast premium features including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
The base HTE variant is available with NA petrol and diesel engines. The turbo-petrol engine with manual gearbox is available in all variants except HTE. The turbo-petrol with iMT is exclusive to HTX and HTX Plus. The diesel-automatic combination is available only in HTK Plus.

Bookings for the Carens Clavis are open with a token amount of ₹25,000. Prices are expected to start from ₹14 lakh (ex-showroom), with the official launch scheduled for May 23, 2025. Upon launch, it will compete with models like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki XL6, and Toyota Rumion, while also serving as a more affordable alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta, Toyota Innova Hycross, and Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
