The EV6 facelift is now only available in a single variant – GT Line AWD.
Kia India has launched the EV6 facelift in India at ₹65.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Unlike before, the EV6 facelift is only available with a single variant – GT Line AWD. The facelifted electric vehicle (EV) comes with a new battery, an enhanced ADAS package and a refreshed design.
The EV6 facelift has an 84 kWh battery, while the earlier one had a 77.4 kWh battery. With the new battery, it has a claimed range of 663 km (ARAI). The facelifted version comes with the same dual-motor setup churning out an identical 321 bhp and 605 Nm as the outgoing model. With a 350 kW fast charger, the EV6’s battery can be charged from 10-80% in 18 minutes, the same as before.
It is available in five colour options – Snow-White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Wolf Grey, Runway Red and Yacht Blue Metallic. Compared to the previous model, the Wolf Grey colour replaces the Moonscape colour option. Cosmetically, the new EV6 gets a refreshed headlamp and taillamp design, new bumpers and a new design for the 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the new EV6 remains largely unchanged. It still gets two 12.3-inch screens, with one for the infotainment and one for the virtual cluster. However, it has a new steering wheel, a slightly redesigned centre console and updated lighting elements. Kia has, however, updated the ADAS suite on the EV6. It now has 27 features in this safety suite, including five new autonomous functions.
The EV6 facelift rivals the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BMW iX1 L, Mercedes-Benz EQA, Volvo EX40 and C40 Recharge, and BYD Sealion 7.
