Kia Sonet facelift made its global debut in India. Here’s a breakdown of all the variants on offer.

Kia has unveiled the Sonet facelift in India and the changes are more than just on the surface. The new Sonet, as it has always been, is loaded with tech and features, depending on the variant. To make it easier for you to understand, we’ve compiled a list of features each variant has to offer. 

2024

The Sonet gets three basic trim levels – Tech Line, GT Line and X Line – which have further subdivisions. The Sonet is available with three engine options and five gearbox options. Here’s a breakdown of which trims get which powertrain option.

While Kia will open bookings for the Sonet facelift on December 20, 2023, prices will be announced when deliveries begin in January. But before that, let’s take a look at what each variant has to offer: 

HTE

  • 15-inch steel wheels with plastic covers

  • Three USB-C ports

  • Manual air conditioner

HTK

In addition to HTE, it gets

  • 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels

  • 8-inch touchscreen with Wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay

  • 4 speakers with 2 tweeters

  • Steering mounted controls

  • Reverse camera

  • Keyless entry

  • Front parking sensors

HTK+

In addition to HTK, it gets

  • Signature Tiger Nose grille

  • Sunroof (Only on 1.0 Turbo 6 iMT)

  • LED Daytime Running Lamps

  • LED connected taillamps

  • LED fog lamps

  • Remote Start using key (Only on 1.0 Turbo iMT and 1.5 Diesel MT)

  • Automatic climate control

  • Keyless Go

  • Electrically folding ORVMs

HTX

In addition to HTK+, it gets

  • Electric sunroof

  • Black and beige leatherette interior

  • Remote Start using key

  • Rear centre armrest

  • Rear disc brakes

  • Ventilated front seats (Only on 1.0 Turbo iMT and 1.5 Diesel MT/ 6AT)

  • Traction modes – Sand/ Mud/ Wet (AT only)

  • Drive modes – Normal/ Eco/ Sports (AT only)

  • Paddle Shifters (AT only)

HTX+

In addition to HTX, it gets

  • Ambient lighting

  • 10.25-inch touchscreen

  • 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster

  • Wired Android Auto, Apple CarPlay

  • Air purifier

  • Connected car tech

  • Ventilated front seats

  • Power adjustable driver’s seat (Only on 1.5 Diesel iMT)

  • 360-degree camera with blind view monitor

  • ADAS

  • Power adjustable driver’s seat

X Line

In addition to GTX+, it gets

  • Sage Green interior

  • Matte Graphite colour option

  • All doors get one-touch up/down power windows

  • Redesigned front/ rear skid plates

Kia Sonet safety features

Interestingly, the Sonet gets multiple safety features as standard across the range. These include six airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake force assist system, ESC, stability management, hill-start assist control, rear parking sensors, emergency stop signal, speed sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock and three-point seat belts with reminders for all seats.
