Kia Sonet Gets Two New Trims With Sunroof

Kia India is on a spree of updating its entire line-up and the latest to receive a fresh set of updates is the Sonet. After introducing new trim levels in the Seltos and Carens, Kia has added two new entry and mid-level trims in the Sonet which get a sunroof. 

The Sonet now gets new HTE (O) and HTK (O) trims. Compared to the HTE trim, Kia has only added the single-pane sunroof in the HTE (O) trim. On the other hand, the HTK (O) trim gets the single-pane sunroof, LED lightbar at the rear, automatic climate control and rear defogger, compared to the HTK trim. Furthermore, the GTX+ and HTX+ now get auto-up/down for all windows, and the HTE and HTK trims also get three new colour options – Aurora Black, Imperial Blue and Pewter Olive. 

The new HTE (O) and HTK (O) trims are available with the 1.2-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine with the 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmission, respectively. The Sonet also gets the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with the 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The diesel also gets the option of the 6-speed iMT and the 6-speed automatic gearbox.

With the addition of these new trims, the Sonet now has a total of 23 variants on offer. The HTE (O) 1.2 MT variant is priced at ₹8.19 lakh, while the HTK (O) 1.2 MT variant is priced at ₹9.25 lakh. Similarly, the HTE (O) 1.5 MT variant is priced at ₹10 lakh and the HTK (O) 1.5 MT variant retails at ₹10.85 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India). Here’s the full price list:
