Kinetic DX is offered in two variants: DX and DX+ priced at ₹1,11,499 and ₹1,17,499 (both ex-showroom), respectively.
Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL) has announced the commencement of deliveries for the DX electric scooter, through its subsidiary Kinetic Watts & Volts (KWV). This comes on the back of an overwhelming market response, strong bookings, and the recent inauguration of KWV’s first showroom on October 16, 2025. Deliveries are set to begin by the end of November.
The company confirmed that KWV has successfully received the ARAI homologation certificate and completed all required testing for the Kinetic DX. Launched on 28 July this year, deliveries of the DX were initially supposed to start in September but a delay in homologation pushed the schedule behind by a couple of months.

A homage to the original Kinetic Honda DX scooter of the 1980s and 90s, the reincarnated fully-electric version of the same is available in two variants: DX and DX+ priced at ₹1,11,499 and ₹1,17,499 (both ex-showroom), respectively. Bookings for the same are currently underway at a token amount of Rs 1,000. Interested customers can book the same through the company website.
KWV has already appointed 50 dealers and issued Letters of Intent (LOIs) across major markets including Pune, Mumbai, Baroda, Surat, Indore, Bhopal, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Jaipur. Five new dealerships are set to open in November, with plans to establish 200 dealerships nationwide by FY 2026–27 as part of its accelerated expansion strategy.
By March 2025, KWV aims to deliver 5,000 units, contributing around ₹50 crore to KEL’s consolidated sales. For FY 2025–26, the subsidiary has set an ambitious target of 60,000 units, translating to a projected ₹600 crore in revenue. With these projections, KEL anticipates consolidated revenues of ₹800 crore, driven largely by its expanding electric portfolio.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman of Kinetic India, said, “The response to KWV has been exceptional, underscoring the strong trust in the Kinetic brand. The Kinetic DX is designed as the ideal family scooter—offering convenience, durability, and class-leading practicality."
Meanwhile, Kinetic Engineering continues to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities with a new robotic chassis line, upgraded paint shop, and expanded metal pressing facilities. The company currently produces chassis for the E-Luna and Kinetic DX EV, reflecting its strong backward integration within the group’s EV ecosystem.
The new Kinetic DX is equipped with a hub-mounted electric motor that delivers a peak output of 4.8 kW, drawing power from a 2.6 kWh LFP battery positioned beneath the floorboard. The setup enables the scooter to achieve a top speed of 90 kmph, while offering a claimed range of 102 km and 116 km for the base and top variants, respectively, on a single charge. Kinetic further claims that using the cruise lock feature between 25–30 kmph on flat terrain can extend the DX’s real-world range up to 150 km. There are three ride modes to choose from: Range, Power, and Turbo.
The new-generation Kinetic DX comes packed with modern features such as full LED lighting, an 8.8-inch digital display, keyless ignition, a Bluetooth-enabled speaker, and advanced Telekinetic connectivity functions like real-time ride stats, geo-fencing, intruder alerts, and vehicle tracking. It also introduces cruise control as a standout highlight. Practicality is enhanced by a class-leading 37-litre underseat storage that can fit a full and a half helmet, while safety and convenience are bolstered by reverse assist and hill-hold functions, along with a nostalgic red ‘READY’ starter button inspired by the original Kinetic Honda.
