The dark treatment meted out to the bike subtly subdues the on-your-face appeal of the KTM 250 Duke.
KTM India has silently introduced a new colour option with the 250 Duke. Simply called Black and Blue, this is the third colour option, alongside the orange & white, and black and orange combo. Prices have remained the same at ₹2.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The distinct dark treatment noticeable in this new colour scheme does make the inept aggressive appeal of the KTM 250 Duke feel slightly subdued. The fuel tank, headlight cowl, and parts of the side panel boast the new dark blue colour, the tank extensions which are the main aggressive part get the contrasting simple black shade with the 250 Duke sticker on it. The orange alloy wheels do help retain some of KTM’s on-your-face appeal, and the overall look satisfactorily manages to pull off that punk-ish stance.
The rest of the bike is completely the same, both feature-wise and mechanically. The KTM 250 Duke is powered by a new 30 bhp/ 25 Nm, 249 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. How does this engine perform and should you get one, to know check out our review video below:
