The warranty scheme will be available for a limited period, though.
KTM becomes the latest two-wheeler manufacturer to offer a 10 year warranty program. This extended warranty scheme will be applicable on the 390 Duke only, and it will be available until June 30. KTM used to offer a standard warranty of 2 years on all its bikes, and then followed it up with 3 years of additional warranty at no extra cost. This new extended warranty program will continue to be available at no extra cost, and it will be transferable as well.
This announcement comes barely a week after Aprilia announced that it has extended its warranty program by 1 year/ 12,000 km on top of what it offered before with both the RS 457 and Tuono 457. The latter is a direct rival to the 390 Duke and the announcement of this warranty program just made it more attractive than the Aprilia naked sport. While performance-wise, both the 390 Duke and Tuono 457 are on par with each other, the Tuono 457 edges past the Duke with its parallel-twin engine configuration. However, the 390 Duke was recently updated with a new colour option and cruise control. This makes the KTM 390 Duke the only naked bike in the segment to be available with this feature. Should you still purchase the Duke over the Tuono? To find that out, we recently pitted both against each other. You can check out the same in the video below:
