This is applicable for motorcycles sold after April 1, 2024
KTM and Husqvarna motorcycle owners in India have reason to cheer, as both brands announced a significant upgrade to their after-sales offerings. Effective from April 1, 2024, all new KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles will come with a comprehensive 5-year warranty program, providing riders with greater peace of mind and reduced ownership costs.
This new warranty scheme combines a standard 2-year warranty with a complimentary 3-year extended warranty, offering a total coverage of 5 years or 45,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. The extended warranty ensures broader coverage for various components and repairs, including labour costs, which are often excluded in standard warranty packages.
Further enhancing the ownership experience, KTM is also providing a free 1-year roadside assistance program with all new motorcycle purchases. This 24/7 service includes assistance with flat tyres, on-site repairs for minor issues, and safe towing to the nearest KTM or Husqvarna service centre in case of a breakdown.
Sumeet Narang, President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, “At KTM, we are committed to ensuring a premium ownership experience for our customers. It’s about giving all KTM and Husqvarna owners the confidence to explore, to push boundaries, and to chase adventure without a single worry. We believe KTM owners deserve, not just the most exhilarating machines on the market, but also a hassle-free ownership experience that helps them get the best out of their KTMs.”
The benefits for riders are clear. The extended warranty coverage minimises out-of-pocket expenses for repairs during the ownership period, translating to reduced financial burden. This, combined with the comprehensive coverage, brings greater peace of mind. The extended warranty and roadside assistance program also inspire increased confidence, especially for new buyers, due to the longer coverage and support services offered by KTM and Husqvarna.
However, riders should be aware that regular servicing at authorised KTM/Husqvarna service centres is mandatory to maintain warranty coverage. Additionally, it's worth noting that this extended warranty program might be for a limited time. Customers are encouraged to visit their local KTM or Husqvarna dealership for the latest details and offers.
